Blaze of memory by Nalini Singh review

I recently finished reading ‘blaze of memory’ by Nalini Singh and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
It took me a little while to get into this book unlike all the others in the psy-changeling series. It deviates from the normal characters from this series and I thought I wouldn’t like it, but once again,  Nalini Singh makes it difficult not to connect with the characters.
I thought I would have problems with liking Dev’s character, but I ended up loving him.
He’s strong, dangerous, possessive, and masculine, yet he has a tender loving side he fights to control. He is more like the changelings than the psy in his ways and it makes for a very interesting combination. Then there is Katya,  a psy with amnesia and Ming’s pawn.  She is so strong willed and determined even whilst broken, you can’t help but feel sorry for her.  These two worked so well together. They had so much heat and so much emotion between them.  I was a wreck by the end of the book.
This is by far one of the best series I’ve read in a long time and I can’t wait to read them all.  These books are well written and impossible to put down.
