One star reviews

It really is amazing what some people write in reviews for books, but then I guess everyone has their own opinions on what is right and wrong.

Such a laugh to listen to these.
Keep up the good work ladies and gents.

Back in the game

For the past week or so I’ve been really struggling with my revision of my story, tweaking my chapters. Adding and removing parts and generally just polishing it all up ready to be looked at properly.

I’m pleased to say that finally I am back on board and I’m starting to get things done.
I don’t know what is was that was spotting me from being motivated. Stress, lack or time, anger, confusion or just being swamped with so much to do at once.
Now, after some advice from some lovely ladies (and gents) on http://forums.romancedivas.com/ as well as some useful advice and critiques from http://www.critiquecircle.com/ I am finally starting to work through my book once again.

After this short break and all the help and advice I received, I must say my second chapter is starting to shape up for the better.
So once again, diva’s and all those who critiqued my work, THANK YOU!

How to edit your book until it’s finished.

I’ve been struggling with my editing process over the last couple of weeks but this URL I spotted on my facebook wall has some really helpful advice and hints for any of those going through the same stages and not knowing what to do or how to start.

Editing you book really is the hardest part, even more so than writing the first draft I feel, not sure If I’m alone or not on this. The idea was easy for me, most of it had been in my head for a while, the only problem was making past certain walls in the text that I found myself stuck at through 3 drafts, but eventually passed that… Editing, well… I’ve hit a wall even earlier, but all of this advice will be a big help 🙂

Good luck to everyone else at this stage, hope this link helps.

Titles

I’ve been trying to think of a good title for my book but I’m coming up blank…
If anyone could think of some basic ideas from the work I’ve already uploaded, I’d love to hear them.

My first idea was ‘The Awakening’ and I keep going back to this one, but I’m wondering whether it’s giving too much of a hint to the story or not enough…
What is the first thing that pops into you head when you hear this title?
